Warranty

At Joule Bikes we pride ourselves on the quality and workmanship of our electric bikes and as such every single one of our products come with a free 12 months Joule Bikes warranty, which will automatically begin 7 days from date of delivery.

We fully recognise and embrace our responsibility to all of our customers to ensure that they are able to enjoy their Joule Electric Bike for the life of the warranty period with minimal interruption and inconvenience. We go to great lengths to ensure all our electric bicycles meet very high standards, but occasionally problems can arise and while we cannot avoid this we do ensure that we deal with all issues promptly.

We carry stock of every part for every electric bike we sell. When an issue can be attributed to a failure of a specific part we are able to send a replacement part with simple fitting instructions within 48 hours. This is the most common and fastest solution. 

However, when a problem is more complex or cannot be diagnosed remotely then we will arrange for the product to be collected and returned to us, where we will either repair or replace the faulty product. The product will then be returned to the customer. The whole process takes no longer than 7 days.

We pride ourselves on our reputation of always looking after our customers' needs and are prepared to work hard to protect it. 

Warranty Terms and Conditions

  1. With effect from November 1st 2012, Joule Bikes Ltd. ('Joule Bikes') of 24 Beechwood Rise, Plymouth, Devon, PL6 8AP, provides to the purchaser of any new Joule Bikes product (the 'Product') purchased directly from Joule Bikes or an authorised retailer in the United Kingdom a Manufacturer's Limited Guarantee against inherent defects for the period, and on the conditions, set out below:
  2. The guarantee is subject to the following exclusions and conditions:
    • Accidental damage, customer misuse or neglect
    • Abnormal wear and tear
    • Unauthorised rental or other commercial use
    • Unauthorised modification to the Product
    • Faulty repairs by consumer or unauthorised agent
    • Failure to follow battery charging instructions
  1. Joule Bikes reserves the right to inspect or test any Product claimed to be defective
  2. Any parts repaired or replaced under guarantee are guaranteed to the end of the original period.
  3. The period of guarantee commences 7 days from the date of delivery of the Product. Proof of purchase and purchase date may be required.
  4. The guarantee is non-transferable.
  5. Customers living outside UK will be responsible for all courier/postal charges relating to any warranty claim.
  6. In the event of a warranty claim the consumer should contact Joule Bikes
  7. This guarantee is in addition to and does not affect the consumer's statutory rights. Further information in respect of these statutory rights can be obtained from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizen's Advice Bureau.
